Portrait of Yale Xie

Hello! I'm Yale Xie, and I'm a freshman studying Computer Science and Mathematics at Yale College.

If you’re wondering, I wasn’t named after the school; Yale is actually a phonetic spelling of my traditional Chinese name, pronounced “yah-luh”. On campus, I organize YHack, Yale’s premier hackathon, and serve on the Yale College Council’s Tech Division, where I help shape Yale’s tech policy and host events that showcase Yale’s growing tech scene. In my spare time, I play poker at the Yale Poker Club, compete in ping-pong intramurals, and participate in Yale’s vibrant music scene. Some things I’m currently curious about are AI supply chains, computational neuroscience, and prediction markets.
